SOUNDS RED
modom is the collaborative brainchild of composers chaz windus and keith ruggiero. windus hails from his long-running studio “blazing lazer,” where he defined the sound of vh1 and mtv branding throughout the early 2ks. ruggiero hails from the new york “electroclash” scene of the early 2ks with his band soviet, and his los angeles-based sound design and music composition studio “sounds red.”
being in and around the la and nyc creative communities of the early 2ks, chaz and keith had their ears opened to whole new avenues of sound making. following their earliest years of performing in various bands and delivering diverse audio branding campaigns, chaz and keith’s paths converged in la. the two musicians formed a bond, largely due to a mutual love for synthesizers and star trek. with an aim at bringing their nostalgic flair to a whole new level of awesome, chaz and keith decided to unite forces and form a collective.
all these experiences and influences have now coalesced, and the powerful result is modom. nostalgic, classic, fun-filled summer nights and playful, frenzied good times will envelop you as you lose yourself in the sounds and memories of modom…
